I have not put any of my miniature collages up on deviantART in awhile. Originally I had wanted to make a wine charm set out of the bottle caps that I use of the 7 of them - which I have now. However, all the small handcut or otherwise collages start as collages for vintage optical lens. Various antique botanicals, ornamental papers and vintage bookplates with a tudor rose placed in each of their hands. Many of the flowers were chosen for their symbolic meanings as well. Hi Ellejae, You are right the roses were not there in the original portraits nor were any of the decorative backgrounds or flowers. I cut the Tudor roses out and placed them in each of their hands as well as cutting out the each of them from the original portraits and placed them against the decorative backgrounds with flowers that symbolized their story. Thank you for your sweet comment! Xo.
